Shopping For Wedding Favors
My sister, Janey, is getting married in less than eight months. And, as her maid of honor, it is my responsibility to be with her throughout all the wedding planning period. She has hired not only a wedding planner but also a wedding coordinator as well. However, my sister insisted that I should be there especially it comes to choosing unique wedding favors. The reason she was adamant to put this task on me is because she thinks that I have a knack for giving the best gifts during birthdays and holidays. Choosing gifts are pretty easy. All you need to know is the personality of the person whom you are going to give a gift to. Giving out Wedding Favors is the opposite. You do not please your guests. The favors must reflect the couple’s personalities so that even at the end of the wedding ceremony and reception, the moment will still be remembered by the attendees. So, as someone who will advice the bride, I told her to think what she and her groom have in common and to incorporate that on the favors. Aside from giving advice on that aspect, part of my role as the maid of honor is to supervise and approve the wedding supplies. Who would have thought that being a maid of honor is glamorous? This is the first time I have been asked to become a maid of honor. Albeit, tiring at times, it is indeed an honor to be with the bride in her last days as a single woman. It is an honor to help her become a married woman. It is an honor to ease her worries and keep her focused as she marries the love of her life.
