The Message Is About God’s Love For Everyone
From humble beginnings, today the message is still the same as it was back in 1942, over 67 years ago when a group of 5 young men met with one common goal…spreading the good news about a Savior who died for the sins of the world. This was the start of New Tribe Mission. It is difficult to believe that a message so simple is so hard for some to accept and yet times have not changed much over the years. In many of the remote areas of the world, there is no communication with the outside world. Primitive living conditions prevail for this is all that is known. So how will they hear unless someone goes?
The burning desire to see tribal communities hear about Jesus was the driving force behind these early days for this organization. Their very words reflect the motive was not theirs individually but it was by God’s inspiration and provision that it all came into place. Truly, one could easily say that it must have been a “God” thing. New Tribe Mission is still a driving force with over 3,000 missionaries stationed around the world. It is in training workers to go out and spread the gospel to those who have never heard.
The concept for these missionary teams is that they establish themselves in a village and get to know the culture. By easing into the community and learning their language, great strides can be made and a trust built. The goal of New Tribe Mission is one that is built on the unconditional love of Christ and how over time, relationships will be established that can overcome all cultural differences. One specific aspect of this group is the Aviation section. They provide air transportation where otherwise it would not be possible to get supplies to establish churches, medical supplies and the ever important letters from home. This team works together all the way from the ground support, technicians and pilots to provide an invaluable service to these missionaries on the ground. They are very effective in areas of natural disaster such as hurricanes, earthquakes and the like.
